An indecent exposure case against a 35-year-old Yorktown man has been continued to February, according to York County General District Court case records.

Todd Andrew Mikita is accused of exposing himself to people walking by the York Crossing Apartments on Rebellion Way in Yorktown in early July, according to a criminal complaint filed in the general district court.

He is charged with indecent exposure. His general district court appearance on Monday was rescheduled for February of 2017.

According to the criminal complaint, Mikita went outside to his second floor apartment’s balcony naked, hung up a bathing suit and stood looking out at the pool area, where a woman and her son were below.

The woman said she had stopped to talk to a friend in the parking lot near the pool when she noticed the naked man on the balcony, the complaint says.

The woman “decided she had enough” and went to the apartment offices to report the incident, the complaint says.

When police responded to the residence, they saw Mikita on the balcony, wearing only boxers, the complaint states. Deputies went to speak with Mikita, who “would not open the door and refused to come out and only had his door crack [sic] approximately 10 inches,” according to the complaint.

Mikita told the deputy he was hanging up his bathing suit and did not expose himself on purpose.

The deputy investigating the incident wrote in the complaint: “My witness is terrified not only for her but for her son. She would not even come outside to meet me. She believes he is doing on purpose due to it happening (the day before) as well.”

Mikita is scheduled to appear in the General District Court Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.
