James Daniel “Danny” Wood, 62, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016.

Danny was a York County native, and lived there his whole life. He graduated from York High school, where he was an accomplished basketball player.

Danny went to trade school, after high school, and began working at Yorktown Power Station (Dominion Power), where he was a member of the IBEW. He worked as an electrician for 37 years before retiring.

He was always very active with his church, and was part of the camera crew.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lille Wood. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Teresa; his son, Daniel Belor (Wendy); his daughter, Katie Mosquera (Guillermo, his “son”); his grandchildren, Adi and Conner; his brothers, Ray (Faye), Stanley (Betty); his nephew, Shawn; his mother-in-law, Sonia Traylor; his sister-in-laws, Sandra Carter (Joe) and Donna Traylor; brother-in-law, David Traylor; and his nieces and nephews, Kevin, Lisa, Ashley and Jason, and their families.
