York County seeking citizen applicants for York-Poquoson Social Services Board

York County’s Board of Supervisors is encouraging citizens to apply for Board positions with York-Poquoson Social Services Board, according to a press release from the county’s Public Information Office.

The York-Poquoson Social Services Board oversees programs that benefit citizens of York County and Poquoson. The board holds its meetings on the third Wednesday of every month at 9 a.m.

“York-Poquoson Social Services provides a broad array of human service programs for county residents who have financial, social, educational, health, and emotional needs,” reads a program description on York County’s website. 

Citizens interested in applying for appointment to the York-Poquoson Social Services Board can do so by picking up an application at the County Administrator’s Office at 224 Ballard Street in Yorktown, by calling (757) 890-3320, or by visiting the county’s website and selecting “Board Bank Application.”
