Jackie Chandler Brabon, 69, of Williamsburg, Va., passed away on Nov. 7, 2016 at the Hospice House of Williamsburg. She was born July 14, 1947, in Kenova, W.Va., and graduated from Granby High School in Norfolk, Va. She was preceded in death by her father, Rex Owen Chandler and her mother, Helen Chandler Gruenke.
Jackie worked for 17 years at the Naval Air Reworks facility in Norfolk and was a division secretary. She met the love of her life on March 10, 1976, and was married to James (Jim) W. Jackie and Jim lived in Virginia Beach and started their family, until moving to Williamsburg in 1989. Locally, she was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. She was also a devoted mother to her two daughters, Lisa and Jamie, traveling with them to all their school activities and sporting events through the years. Brabon of Williamsburg; oldest daughter, Lisa Woodward and her husband, Abram Woodward of Sparks, Nev., and their two children, Annabeth and Andrew Woodward; youngest daughter, Jamie Cohen and her husband, Dr. Britt Cohen of Williamsburg, and their two children, Hailey and Brayden Cohen.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, 215 Richmond Rd., Williamsburg, followed by a celebration of Jackie’s life.
