Marjorie Clark Ennis Campbell passed away on Nov. 7, 2016 in Williamsburg, VA.
Mrs. Campbell was born March 9, 1928 in Norristown, PA, the daughter of the late Glenn Clark Ennis and Lydia Barnshaw Ennis. She was the widow of Gordon Creston Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sara Ennis Stratton.
Mrs. Campbell graduated from Norristown High School, Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing, and the University of Pennsylvania where she earned Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She was a community health nurse in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania for 25 years, employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health where she retired in 1988.
She was an active volunteer with the Montgomery Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Norristown. She cherished her time with her friends from “Azalea Terrace,” and enjoyed spending time with her family at the Jersey shore.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by two sons, Glenn C. Campbell, M.D. and his wife Anh N. Campbell, M.D. of Williamsburg, VA and G. Creston Campbell, Ph.D. and his wife Mary Kate Campbell, Esq. of Wilmington, DE. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Samuel, Creston, and Patrick Campbell.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Marjorie’s life at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the First Presbyterian Church of Port Kennedy, 1084 Old Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA. The family will receive guests one hour prior from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
