James (Bobby) R. Crawford Jr. died unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016.

He worked with government contractors at Fort Eustis for 36 years. Bobby was an active father who enjoyed spending time with his children. There was not one family event through their special years — from the birth of his children, the father-daughter dances, Sean’s karate tournaments, their ball games and their college graduations of which he was so very proud. His greatest legacy is his children.

He always had a special place tucked away in his heart for his wife, Teresa. They were to celebrate their wedding anniversary of 38 years on Thursday, Nov. 10th.

He leaves cherished memories to his wife of 37 years, Teresa Vest Crawford, a son, Sean Ryan and a daughter Heather Nicole; his father, James Robert Crawford Sr., his mother Mary Newhouse and her husband, Mike; a brother Tim Crawford, and sisters, Beth Heaton and her husband Marty and Bonnie Wandersee and her husband Billy; along with many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held at Amory Funeral Home in Yorktown on Friday, Nov. 11, from 5:30-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Amory on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
