Varujan John DeMelkon, age 55, passed away suddenly at his home in Williamsburg, VA, on Oct. 27, 2016.
John was a master jeweler/gemologist and the owner of “Designs by Varujan, Inc.” in Williamsburg, VA. A member of the Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce, he was also a sponsor of numerous local charities and loved fishing, archaeology and watching documentaries.
Preceding him in death is his father Agop Delimelkonoglu and brother Alex Delimelkonoglu. Survivors include his broken hearted wife and son, Imelda and Jonathan DeMelkon of Williamsburg, VA; mother Yetir Delimelkonoglu of Cliffside Park, NJ; brother Melkon Melkonian and sister-in-law, Karen, of Cliffside Park, NJ; niece and nephew, Talia and Allan Melkonian; and many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016 from 12-4pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188. A Celebration of Life service will be Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 beginning at 2pm at Kingsway Campus of Crosswalk Community Church, 5100 John Tyler Hwy, VA 23188.
