Five William and Mary students face criminal charges after a drug bust on Rolfe Road, police say.
Police found marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms (also known as “magic mushrooms” or “shrooms”) during an Oct. 17 search of a home on the 200 block of Rolfe Road, said Maj. Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department.
Police also found capsules in the home, although they have not been identified yet.
William and Mary’s Timothy Andrew Claude, 20, Stephen Hu, 20, Daniel Joseph Martyak, 19 and Morrise Samuel Quierolo, 20, were charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and felony possession of a schedule I or II drug, Riley said.
A fifth person, Chevonne Robert Leighton, 20, was also charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.
All of the men live at the house on Rolfe Road, at least on a temporary basis, Riley said.
Police initially responded to the house when a neighbor complained that the men were shooting air rifles into the neighbor’s back yard.
When officers talked to the residents they smell marijuana coming from inside the house and got a search warrant, Riley said.
