With heavy hearts, we come together to celebrate the life of Darel Edward George, who on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, transcended from this life into eternal presence of our Lord. His life began on September 24, 1949, the son of the late Mary F. “Nanny” George Marrow, in Clarksville, Tennessee. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Angela C. George; his daughter, Ebony George; his sons, Maccio George and Chris George; his thirteen grandchildren; his five sisters; his two brothers-in-law; his two brothers; his two sisters-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews other loving relatives and many caring friends.
Mr. George may be viewed on Monday, Oct. 24. 2016, in Union Baptist Church, Williamsburg. The family requests your presence at the service celebrating George’s life, at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, in Zion Baptist Church, Lightfoot. Family and friends are to assemble at 8715 Pocahontas Trail by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Interment with military honors will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016, in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, Virginia. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
