The Trojans traveled to Virginia Beach for a key conference matchup against the Crusaders of Bishop Sullivan.  Walsingham Academy had its first chance just minutes into the game but they were unable to capitalize on an open net.  About 15 minutes into the contest the visitors were awarded a PK on a hand ball in the box.  Solvi Bjornsson calmly slotted home the penalty for the goal.  Later in the half the Trojans connected for one of their prettiest goals of the year.  The ball moved up the field beautifully.  Max Rinaldi sent a back heel to Connor Norris who at full speed then sent Bjornsson in on goal and he scored to make it a two goal lead at half.
The second half began with the home team applying pressure for the first six minutes.  Walsingham then settled back in and controlled the remainder of the contest scoring two more, one of which was a beautiful free kick by Kelau Smith that was redirected off the head of Solvi Bjornsson for a goal.
The Trojans travel to Nansemond Suffolk Academy for their final regular TCIS contest tomorrow at 4:00pm.
