For those who have thought about becoming a foster or adoptive parent, the City of Williamsburg will be offering information and training sessions next month to help families understand the process.
According to a news release from the city, Williamsburg Human Services is offering an orientation session for families to help them make an informed decision about whether foster care or adoption is the right choice for their family.
The orientation session will provide information about foster care, foster children and requirements to becoming an approved foster parent. It will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Quarterpath Recreation Center, 202 Quarterpath Road, the release stated.

The city’s Foster and Adoptive Training is scheduled to run from Oct. 20 to Nov. 17. The training includes five weeknight sessions and will be held at Quarterpath Recreation Center. A flyer for the training session can be downloaded here.
