Don Farrell Parks, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 13, 2016.
Don was a resident of Hampton, but was born and raised in Poquoson. He retired in 2003, after working more than 30 years at Dominion Virginia Power.
He managed the Messick Men’s Softball Team for years and truly enjoyed his family and many friends.
Don was preceded in death by his Father, Auther “Buddy” Parks and mother, Lillian Louise Parks.
He is survived by his sisters, Sherry Parks Perok and husband Larry and Robin Kay Diemont and husband Tim; nephews, Derrick Diemont, Tony Diemont and wife Mailelani; nieces, Sherri Kaye Dykstra and husband Tim, Lorrie Challoner and husband Ryan, and Tammi Glidewell and husband Chris; special friends, Donnie White, Alicia Hudgins and her children Riley and Eli.
Visitation will be on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, from 1- 2:30 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service all at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson. Burial will take place at Weston Cemetery, Poquoson, immediately following the funeral service. Online condolences to claytorrollins.com .
