A two-day musical festival is coming to Jamestown Beach Event Park this weekend.
The blues festival will feature live music from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Sunday’s concerts will run from 12 to 7 p.m.
According to a news release, the event was created by Culturefix, an nonprofit organization that aims to provide arts and cultural events for the Greater Williamsburg area.
The organization’s founders, Steve Rose and Jennifer Raines, were inspired to create this weekend’s Big Bluesy festival following the success of their Winter Blues Jazz Fest in January, the release stated.
In addition to live music throughout the weekend, the event will also feature food truck concessions, as well as local craft beer and wine.
More than 15 bands will be in attendance, including Anthony Rosana and The Conqueroos, Roosterfoot, Forrest McDonald Band, Slam Allen, Bobby BlackHat Band with Dirty Red, Herbie D and the Dangermen, The Bush League, Billy Joe Trio featuring Billy Joe Daniel, The Groove Cats, In Layman Terms, The Doc Robin Band, On The Verge, Atiba Taylor, Dikon & Vallet, Andrew Ballantyne and Amy Ferebee.
