Ignition Center, a nonprofit business accelerator located on the third floor of the Wells Fargo building in the Williamsburg Arts District, formally celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday.
According to a recent press release, all five members of the Williamsburg City Council were in attendance, as was Delegate and Virginia Senate candidate Monty Mason.
The accelerator — or startup for startups — was founded by Lance Zaal, Adam Theis and Tim Yewcic, who used Friday’s open house to showcase businesses that are currently using the space, such as Drink Williamsburg, Hortus Life, Fubar and Integrated Virtual Solutions, the release stated.
The well-attended event was catered with food from Paul’s Deli and beer from Virginia Beer Company, the release stated.
