Ruth M. Bartlett-Green, 71, a life-long resident of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed on to the Father, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016. She was born on Dec. 4, 1944.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Williamsburg, where she served with the Missionary Circle and the Pastor’s Aide Auxiliary. She was a joyful, high-spirited person in the Lord and her love for her family and friends was greatly felt.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her children, Alonzo Bartlett (April), Drusilla Pearson (Tim), Walter Oliver, Gloria Mason and Alfred Richard, all of Williamsburg; and a host of other loving relatives and caring friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, in Little Zion Baptist Church, 8625 Pocahontas Trail. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 4916 Grand Strand Drive, Apt. 104, by 12 p.m. on Saturday. Mrs. Green may be viewed and the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept.16, 2106, in the funeral home.
