Walsingham Cross Country at Fork Union Invitational

Walsingham’s cross country teams traveled to Fork Union Tuesday to compete in the Fork Union Invitational with 42 other teams.

The girls varsity team took 5th place in the Varsity A race, which was won by Cosby. Patriot Pacers were 2nd, Western Albermarle 3rd, and Albermarle 4th. Delaney and Frankie Riggs led Walsingham, finishing 13th and 14th. Gace Vidlak was 36th, Hannah Pickering 60th, and Catherine Schumacher 65th for the Trojans.
The boys team finished 19th in the Varsity A race. They were led by Patrick Murphy in 65th place and Cody Carpenter in 72nd. Jake Lobash in 79th, Eddie Miller in 101, and Mathew Brause in 120th place rounded out their top 5.
