Regina “Gina” Marie Sheehan, 64, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 after a battle with cancer.

Gina was a native of Louisville, KY and a York County resident for 35 years. An avid reader and librarian, she retired from the Public Library in 2015.

Gina loved to travel, visiting remarkable places like Alaska, Bermuda, Germany, Egypt, and Zeigler. She also enjoyed sailing as a member of the Seaford Yacht Club and flying with her husband.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wendolin and Margie Kuehn, and her sister, Carmel Bayers (Ed).

She is survived by her husband of 39 years Jack Sheehan; two children, Joanna Sheehan Bell (her husband, Michael) of New York City, and Jack Sheehan (his wife, Jessica née Borash) of Washington, DC; three grandchildren, Brennan, Victoria, and Avery;  three sisters, Catherine Duddy (Bud), Ann Greene (Rick) and Mary Drury (Roger) of Louisville, KY; and two brothers, Michael Kuehn (Millie) of Naples, FL and Bill Kuehn (Karen) of Jeffersonville, IN.

A celebration of Gina’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at the Seaford Yacht Club.
