Gallery at York Hall celebrates fall with artist showcase

The Gallery at York Hall is hosting two, month-long exhibits to celebrate fall arts this September and October.

According to a York County press release, the fall arts celebration kicks off with a pottery exhibit featuring artists Elizabeth Krome and Martha Hayes.

Throughout the month of September, customers will receive 10 percent off their purchases at the gallery when they mention “arts month,” the release stated.

On Sunday, Sept. 25 the gallery will participate in the Yorktown Art Stroll and feature a fiber arts demonstration from artist Dia Foden from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the release stated.

October’s exhibit will feature a Yorktown art showcase, highlighting the work of local botanical artist Linda Miller. On Wednesday, Oct. 19 Miller will give a demonstration and sign prints, while authors Dorothea Jenson and Alan R. Hoffman will be available for book signings, the release stated.

The Gallery at York Hall is located at 301 Main Street in Historic Yorktown and is a cooperative effort between the Celebrate Yorktown Committee and York County. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
