Morgan Vance Shinholser, 48, always willing to help someone down on their luck

Morgan Vance Shinholser passed away Sept. 9, 2016, in Williamsburg, Va.

He was one of the most kind, caring, hardworking, and big hearted guy who found rest from his heart condition suddenly yesterday. Morgan Vance Shinholser was 48 on Aug. 5, 2016. He had crammed a lot of living into those years, always willing to help a friend or someone down on his luck. To say he was a “one-of-a- kind” man was an understatement. “Moe,” as he liked to be called, left those he met forever changed.

He was predeceased by his father, Jack W. Shinholser.

Survived by his mother, Josephine W. Shinholser; son M. Dylan Shinholser; daughter, Cheyenne R. Shinholser; sisters, Ashley S. Hargrove and Molly S. Purser; and companion Shannon Faulkner and her three children. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation for the public will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188 on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.. Burial will be private.
