Linda Marlene Monahan, 68, loved fishing and hummingbirds

Linda Marlene Monahan, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on Sept. 7, 2016 at the age of 68.

Linda loved fishing off her backyard pier, rooting for her Redskins, and tending to her flowers and hummingbirds.

She greatly adored her family and friends, and her grandkids were her world. She was a lover of life.

She is predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Monahan; brother, Ronnie Newton; father, Clarence Newton, and sister, Margie Conway. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael Monahan; daughters, Michelle Michael and Tracy Lane; grandchildren, Sean Kevin Michael, Jr. (fiance, Amanda Morrisette), Kevin Robert Michael, Evie Alexis Michael; and her siblings, Buddy Newton (Barbara), Patti Joyce (Leon), Dottie Jackson (Wayne), Mike Monahan (Sam), and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at The Williamsburg Moose Lodge, 5429 Richmond Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188 at 3:00 p.m. A service will be held on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church 235 Harpersville Rd, Newport News, VA 23601 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
