Cheryl Ann Firth Fox, 60, died unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 5, 2016.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, graduate of Poquoson High School, Class of 1974, and member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Cheryl was a homemaker and loved family more than anything, especially her loving husband and best friend for thirty-eight years, Charles “Buddy” Fox.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, James Alfred Firth and mother, Frances Covington Firth. She is survived by her husband, Charles “Buddy” Fox, Jr.; son, James Matthew Fox and wife Alison; daughter, Erika Nicole Fox and friend Eric; grandchildren, Tyler Gnatowsky Bielenberg, Joseph Thomas Guarry, and Emily Anne Fox; brothers, Robert (Bobby) Firth and wife Cindy, James Michael Firth and wife Becky, and Stephen Douglas Firth; nieces, Valerie Firth, Vicki O’Bryan, Priscilla Firth, Adria Firth, and Jamie Firth; nephew, Michael Wade Firth; numerous great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Doris Lindstrom, Shirley Tindall, Brenda Layne, Mary Davis, and Wanda Fox; special friends, Terry Caldwell and Debra Gibbs; and her special fur baby, Sebastian.
A Celebration of Cheryl’s Life will be held on Friday, Sept. 9, 6:00 p.m., at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, led by Rev. Charles R. Stacy. At other times, the family will receive friends at 84 Lodge Road.
