Heritage Humane Society will be hosting its fifth annual Make Par for Pets Golf Classic on Monday, Sept. 19 at Colonial Heritage Golf Club.
Last year, the tournament raised approximately $30,000 for the Heritage Humane Society, which, according to a press release from the organization, serves as a steward for stray and surrendered animals until the animals are adopted as pets.
Throughout the tournament, golfers are invited to participate in multiple skills competitions, including the Longest Drive contest, Closest to the Pin contest, and a chance to win a 2016 Lexus NX 200T SUV by sinking a hole-in-one on designated holes.
The tournament is open to men and women of all skill levels and registration ends Sept. 14 at 5 p.m. Sponsorship opportunities for the tournament are still available.
The fee for an individual to join the Par for Pets Golf Classic is $100, which covers greens fees for 18 holes of golf, cart rentals, refreshments and lunch, and a reception after the round concludes.
A buffet dinner reception, catered by Colonial Heritage chefs, will close out the day followed by an awards ceremony and a raffle for golf gear and prizes. Players may register individually or as a group of four by visiting www.heritagehumanesociety.org/golf.
