Bay Rivers Industrial, Inc. will be expanding its facility in Toano. According to a county news release, the 12,000 square foot plant, located in the Hankins Industrial Park, will expand by roughly 11,000 square feet and receive $500,000 in new equipment.
“James City County is fortunate to be a part of the continued growth of BRI,” Russell Seymour, Director of Economic Development for James City County said in the release. “This expansion is an example of the county’s continued commitment to both the manufacturing sector and to the success of our existing businesses.”
BRI specializes in welding, machining and metal fabrication for government, military and commercial contracts, the release stated.
“BRI’s growth is due, in part, to our continued focus on identifying innovative approaches allowing us to achieve superior overall performance,” Ken Matkins, President and CEO of BRI said in the release. “We are very pleased with our location and appreciate the assistance we have received from staff. We look forward to our continued growth in James City County.”
