Carmen A. Fragapane, 75, of Williamsburg, Va., passed away on Aug. 7, 2016.
He was born March 2, 1941, in Canonsburg, Pa., a son of the late Vincent and Teresa Fragapane.
Prior to his retirement in 2008, he was a paraprofessional at Washington Career and Technology Center. He also worked for 32 years at the former McGraw Edison Power Systems in Canonsburg, Pa., where he helped assemble electrical transformers.
While living in Pennsylvania, he was a member of Canonsburg Sportsmen’s Association, where he enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed reading and military history.
Mr. Fragapane was a devoted husband, loving father and a member of St. Bede Roman Catholic Church. He loved being with his family and enjoyed the companionship of the family’s two Siamese cats, Micah and Zoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Samuel Fragapane of Canonsburg, Pa.; and a sister, Mary Sendro of Washington, Pa.
On Dec. 6, 1968, he married his beloved wife, Carol Sluciak, who survives after nearly 50 years of marriage. Also surviving are two sons, Frank (Kristi) Fragapane of Clemmons N.C.; Carmen (Christine) Fragapane of Williamsburg, Va.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Fragapane of Savannah Ga.; granddaughter, Rachel Fragapane of Greensboro N.C.; and sister, Virginia Levers of Lake Leelanau, Mich.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, Va. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at St. Bede Roman Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg, Va. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Dr., Williamsburg, Va.
