PEG in HD news flash2

Last week, James City County became the first locality in Hampton Roads to broadcast its county meetings in high-definition.

On Aug. 2, the county switched over to HDTV to air its various government and school board meetings, as well as other programming.

According to a JCC news release, the higher image quality is available on channels 1046, 1047 and 1048 on Cox Cable. Programming will continue to be available to customers on the original standard definition channels 46, 47 and 48.

In addition to broadcasting public meetings in higher quality, the channels will feature other HD programming, including the popular HD version of Classic Arts Showcase, the release stated.
