Ruth Waters Berry, 92, of Williamsburg, Va., left this life on Aug. 2, 2016.
Ruth was born in 1923 in Germantown, Md., the daughter of Eugene and Eloise Clagett Waters. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Edwin Berry.
She graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1945 and loved Williamsburg so much that she decided to remain there.
She worked for Colonial Williamsburg as an historic interpreter until her retirement. During her time with Colonial Williamsburg, she was honored to escort numerous dignitaries, including former President Ronald Reagan, on tours of the historic area.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Robert Michael Berry and Mark Edwin Berry (Martha); her daughter, Susan Waters Berry (Pablo Nuesch); and her grandsons, Jonathan Tyler Berry and Edwin (Wynn) Berry.
A memorial service to honor Ruth’s life is planned for October.
