Cecelia Joyner Craig, 68, worked at Fort Eustis and had a daycare business

Cecelia Joyner Craig, 68, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.

Cecelia was a native of Franklin, Va., and a lifelong Peninsula resident. She graduated from Ferguson High School, class of 1966, and worked at Fort Eustis for 11 years as the secretary of the Engineering Department. She later had a daycare business for 25 years.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lloyd W. Craig Jr.; her sons, Eric R. Craig of Newport News, Va., and Scott A. Craig (Jessica) of Poquoson, Va.; her daughter, Jacqueline Imbody of Newport News, Va.; three brothers, Charles T. Joyner (Martha), Randall T. Joyner (Barbara) and Richard W. Joyner (Gayla); and three grandchildren, Jayden, Chase and Cailin.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at Northside Christian Church, with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
