Culturefix, an organization that aims to provide unique arts and cultural events for the Greater Williamsburg area, is introducing a new event this fall after the success of January’s Winter Blues Jazz Fest.
The Big Bluesy is a two-day blues music festival held at the Jamestown Beach Event Park on Sept. 17 and 18. In addition to live music being performed both days, the event will also feature food truck concessions, as well as local craft beer and wine.
On Saturday, Sept. 17, the festival will feature live music from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., while Sunday’s concerts will run from noon to 7 p.m.
More than 15 bands will be in attendance, including Anthony Rosana and The Conqueroos, Roosterfoot, Forrest McDonald Band, Slam Allen, Bobby BlackHat Band with Dirty Red, Herbie D and the Dangermen, The Bush League, Billy Joe Trio featuring Billy Joe Daniel, The Groove Cats, In Layman Terms, The Doc Robin Band, On The Verge, Atiba Taylor, Dikon & Vallet, Andrew Ballantyne and Amy Ferebee.
