Portions of the City Square Parking Terrace will be closed to the public starting July 11 as the City of Williamsburg begins maintenance repairs on the structure.

The repairs are part of the City’s capital improvement budget and will include sealing the upper-deck parking surface to prevent water infiltration, repairing concrete on the columns and lower-level ceiling, repairing brick walls and caps, restriping parking spaces and repainting metal rails.

Once the repairs are complete, the entire structure, which was built in 1999, will be pressure cleaned.

While repairs are underway, additional parking will be available in the Stryker Center parking lot, the Prince George Parking Garage and City streets. At no time will the entire parking terrace be closed during the repair process.

The project, which will cost $169,500, is expected to be completed in September, weather permitting. All work is expected to take place during normal business hours.
