Joseph Adam “Joey” Turk, 38, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016. Joey was a native of Hampton and a lifelong Peninsula resident. He graduated from Bethel High School in 1996. He was the owner and operator of Yorktown Electrical Solutions, LLC.
Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kara Linkous Turk; and three young daughters, Ivy, Kasey and Emma, who were the love and joy in his life; father, Dave, and stepmother, Pam, of Seaford; two brothers, Neil of Newport News and Brad Kerwin of Hampton; two sisters, Angela Buchanan of Hampton and Kristen of Seaford; and five nieces, Priscilla, Brianna, Taylor, Mariah and Jenna.
Joey would light up the room with his beautiful eyes and contagious smile. He was the family story teller and practical joker, with a super personality who loved life and his family. He has left us with many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.
Private services have been held.
