Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hosting its second annual Children’s Health Expo this Saturday.

Families with kids of all ages – or even with a baby on the way – are invited to come out to the hospital and enjoy a day of fun activities for the little ones and valuable information for parents, according to the event website.

Saturday’s event will include family-friendly activities like face painting, balloon animals, character visits with Smokey Bear and door prizes.

Parents and kids alike will be able to learn more about the hospital through tours of the emergency department, the inpatient pediatric unit, the surgical services department and the family maternity center.

The expo will also feature tours of a fire truck, ambulance and medical helicopter, as well as health, safety and nutrition stations, vendor booths and a free child safety ID card station.

This free event will take place from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, located at 100 Sentara Circle.
