His life began on April 24, 1929, the son of the late Helen and Clarence Churchill, in Richmond County.

In 1955, he was united in holy matrimony with the former Myrtle Corrine Griffin. Unto this union, they were blessed with two daughters. After relocating to Williamsburg, Mr. Churchill joined Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a very active member until his demise. He was employed at Fort Eustis, retiring after 25 years of service. He was also employed part time for the State of Virginia and the old Williamsburg Community Hospital.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted wife of sixty-one years, Myrtle G. Churchill; daughters, Connie Churchill and Sandra Churchill Thomas; granddaughter, Alonya Thomas; sister, Beatrice Churchill Morris; brother, Ralph Churchill (Julia); nieces, nephews and cousins; and other loving relatives and many caring friends.

A funeral service, celebrating the life he lived, will be held at noon Wednesday, May 11, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronald A. Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 107 Indigo Terrace by 11 a.m. prior to the service. Mr. Churchill may be viewed only in the church beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of his service.
