Hat tricks by Max Poelker and Cameron Dail lifted York to a dominating 11-0 win at home against Lakeland on Thursday.

Within the first 22 minutes, Poelker logged three goals, while Dail scored two of his three goals. Additionally, Bailey McClure and Mickey Sonedara added goals for the Falcons.

David Cunningham gave York an 8-0 lead in the 34th minute. Dail followed up Cunningham’s goal with a goal of his own in the 42nd minute, which completed his hat trick.

Jonathan Hoyt scored the only goal of the second half before the game was called in the 60th minute because of the Virginia High School League’s eight-goal rule.
