lafayette RamsJacquelyn Boesler drove in both of Lafayette’s runs as the Rams defeated Jamestown 2-1 at home Friday afternoon.

With the game scoreless in the third inning, Boesler stepped to the plate and blasted a two-run double into left field that put the Rams up 2-0.

Outside of a lone Jamestown run in the top of the sixth inning –  a Tara Rowden RBI double – Lafayette pitcher Julia Jones was almost flawless in the game. Jones threw a complete game, allowing four hits and striking out four batters.

Lafayette (3-10) will host York on Tuesday, while Jamestown (4-9) will visit Warhill that same day.
