Warhill’s girls soccer team won its second consecutive game on Friday as the Lions defeated Grafton 2-0 on the road.
Shaye Doherty and Kirstyn Aldridge scored Warhill’s goals, while Kayla Cooke added an assist to help the Lions pull off the victory.
Friday’s win marks Warhill’s fifth shutout victory of the season, the second in the Bay Rivers District for the Lions.
Warhill (6-4) will try to extend its winning streak to three games as the Lions host New Kent on Monday.
Meanwhile, Grafton (3-5) will look to snap a three-game losing skid on the road against York on Monday.

Fox Posts Hat Trick for Eagles
Sofie Fox scored a hat trick as Jamestown cruised past Bruton 9-0 at home on Friday.
The Eagles jumped on the Panthers early and often, building a 6-0 advantage by halftime.
Three more goals in the second half allowed the Eagles to end the game early because of the Virginia High School League’s eight-goal rule.
Jamestown (7-2) will visit Gloucester on Monday, while Bruton (1-6) will try to rebound at home against Poquoson that same night.
