William Kevin ‘Bill’ Johnson, 59, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.

Bill was born in Houston, Texas, and had spent the past 24 years in Yorktown. He retired in 1995 as an officer of the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service. He continued to contribute to the U.S. Air Force by working as a contractor at Langley Air Force Base for the last 20 years.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy L. Johnson; daughter, Alicia Marie Hobart, and her husband, David, of Swansea, Ill.; three sons, James ‘Ryan’ Johnson, and his wife, Katie, of Norfolk, Daniel L. Johnson of Falls Church and William ‘David’ Johnson of Yorktown; three sisters, Patty Roberts, and her husband, George, of Monticello, Ky., Kathleen Noack, and her husband, Greg, of Edmunds, Wash., and Vicky Bond, and her husband, Paul, of Rochester, Wash.; brother, James Michael Johnson of Portland, Ore.; and four grandchildren, Shawn, Lindsey, Brett and Riley.

A funeral service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Amory Funeral Home Chapel, Yorktown. A private burial will be held in Albert G. Horton Jr. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. Memorial contributions may be made to JDRF Hampton Roads, 291 Independence Blvd., Suite 517, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
