Warhill extended its win streak to five games on Monday as the Lions defeated Mathews 5-2 at home.

Kieran McClure paced the Lions offensively with a three-run home run in the bottom of the third inning that gave the Lions a 3-1 lead over Mathews.

Later in the third inning, Hayley Schulz reached base on a fielding error that allowed Makayla Fannin to score.

The Lions recorded their last run in the bottom of the fifth inning as Jasmine Ortiz hit an RBI single to center field that scored Lindsey Davis.

In the circle, Keely Rochard put together a masterful performance for the Lions. Rochard struck out 15 batters and allowed one hit during the complete-game effort.

Warhill (10-1) faces a quick turnaround as the Lions prepare to host York on Tuesday.
