New Quarter Park Summer Hours Begin May 2

New Quarter Park, located off the Colonial Parkway in Greater Williamsburg, will be open every day from 8 a.m. to dusk, starting May 2.

The 545-acre county park provides visitors can experience nature through mature woodlands, meadows, and scenic views of Queen Creek, wetlands and the York River.

The park features hiking trails, family and mountain bike trails, a disc golf course, water access for canoes and kayaks, a fishing pier, playgrounds, picnic shelters and grills, sand volleyball court, two basketball half courts, and a softball field.

New Quarter Park is located at 1000 Lakeshead Drive near the Queens Lake neighborhood. Exit from the Colonial Parkway at Queens Lake, turn right at the end of the exit ramp and turn onto the first street, which is Lakeshead Drive. Follow the signs for 2 miles straight into the park and to the office and parking lot.
