After nearly four years of serving up kebobs to the Greater Williamsburg area, Sticks Kebob Shop is closing its doors for good Saturday.
The Facebook page for the restaurant, which is run by franchise owners Chris Dubois, Ty Austin and Bill Hamilton, posted an announcement of the imminent closure Friday afternoon.
“To all of our Williamsburg customers – Sticks Kebob Shop will be closing this location on 4/23/16,” the announcement said. “We have enjoyed being a part of the Williamsburg community and appreciate the support and friendship that you have extended us over the last four years.”
The Middle Eastern-inspired kebob and salad chain opened its Courthouse Commons location on Monticello Avenue, in the same shopping center as Starbucks and The Fresh Market, in September 2012.
Dubois, Austin and Hamilton also own franchise locations in Charlottesville and Richmond, which will remain open.
