Austin Wayne Gleason, 20, of Yorktown, died Sunday, April 17, 2016, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born on June 15, 1995, in Bremerton, Wash., the son of Wayne and Jennifer (Rudolph) Gleason.

He graduated from Highland Park High School in 2013 and was currently enrolled at Baker College in Owosso, Mich., majoring in automotive technology. Austin was a talented athlete and played baseball and football through 11th grade. He was a Boy Scout while living in Troutdale, Ore. He worked at Tucano’s restaurant as a server and previously at Schlotsky’s deli.

Austin is survived by his parents, Wayne and Jennifer Gleason; sisters Madelon, Miley and Sophia; brothers, Keenan and Emmett Gleason, all of the home; paternal grandparents, William and Dianne Fulton of Portland, Ore.; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Susan Rudolph of DeBary, Fla.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all over the country.

Austin will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He worked hard and played hard. He was always there when someone needed him and loved to make people laugh. He was the best big brother anyone could ever ask for with his five brothers and sisters. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother and friend.
