Curtis Jean ‘Curt’ Reed, 77, of Toano and formerly of Long Island, N.Y., passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Reed; sons, Jeffrey (Enid) of Williamsburg and Richard of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Sharon Pleickhardt (James) of Clermont, Fla.; grandchildren, Enrique, Natalia and Ricardo Reed of Williamsburg; and brothers, Glenn and Russell Brode of New York.

Curtis was born January 10, 1939, served in the U.S. Army, worked as an experimental machinist at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, and as an installer and repairman for NY Telephone Company, from which he retired.

Curt loved his New York Giants and Yankees. He enjoyed going on trips in his motor home with the family.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 104 Norge Lane, Williamsburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the St. Olaf Catholic Church, Building Fund.
