York coasted past Lafayette 8-1 at home on Tuesday, keeping a perfect record intact through four matches.

The Falcons claimed victories in five of the six singles matches, with their only loss coming at No. 6 singles.

While York already had the win guaranteed after singles play, the Falcons still managed to sweep Lafayette in doubles.

York (4-0) will look to remain unbeaten at home on Thursday against Bruton, while Lafayette (3-2) will host Grafton on Thursday.

Jamestown Takes Down Warhill with Ease

Jamestown won its fifth consecutive match on Tuesday as the Eagles took down Warhill 8-1 on the road.

The Eagles shone through most singles matches, with their only setback coming at No. 5 as Warhill’s Olivia Dannon edged Jamestown’s Megan Hornick 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-7)

Doubles proved a solid outing for the Eagles, who dropped three total games en route to the victory.

Jamestown (5-3) will visit New Kent on Thursday, while Warhill (2-4) will try to end a three-match losing streak on the road against Poquoson on Thursday.

Bruton Knocks Off Tabb

Bruton earned a 6-3 win at home against Tabb on Tuesday.

The Panthers scored four singles wins against the Tigers, needing just one win in doubles to secure the overall match victory.

A pair of wins in doubles at No. 1 and No. 3 for the Panthers secured the victory for Bruton.

Bruton (4-3) will visit York on Thursday, while Tabb (2-2) will travel to play Smithfield on Thursday.

Grafton Keeps Win Streak Alive

Grafton’s girls tennis team now has a respectable win streak going after beating New Kent 8-1 on the road Tuesday.

After topping New Kent with only one match loss coming at No. 6 singles, the Clippers have now won three consecutive matches and five of their last six.

Grafton (5-2) faces a tough test on Thursday as the Clippers visit Lafayette.
