Tabb was able to cruise past Grafton 3-0 at home on Tuesday, giving the Tigers their sixth shutout victory of the season.

The Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first half behind a Michelle Sterling goal coming off an assist from Brennan Rausch.

After entering halftime with a 1-0 lead, Tabb scored a pair of goals in the second half.

Rausch found herself in the scoring mix, scoring Tabb’s second goal of the evening off a pass from Leah Tyson.

Finally, Tyson scored the game’s last goal unassisted to give the Tigers the victory.

Tabb (7-1) will visit Bruton on Friday, while Grafton (3-3) will travel to take on New Kent on Friday.

HRA Tops Norfolk Academy

A pair of second-half goals lifted Hampton Roads Academy to a 2-0 home win against Norfolk Academy on Tuesday.

After a scoreless first half, Melina Gharbo put the Navigators up 1-0 off an unassisted goal. Later in the half, Lindsay Kovalcik logged HRA’s final goal of the game, hers also coming unassisted.

With the victory, the Navigators are now riding a six-game winning streak.

HRA (8-1) will look to continue that streak as the Navigators travel to play Cape Henry Collegiate on Monday.
