On Tuesday, April 11, 2016, Christina R. ‘NaNi’ Joseph, 56, slipped into a peaceful sleep and stepped into heaven to be with the Lord.
Her journey in life began December 25, 1959, the daughter of Hilda Burrell in Williamsburg.
She was united in holy matrimony with Craig B. Joseph Sr. Unto this union, they were blessed with five children.
She was formerly employed as a medical transport driver in Williamsburg. Nani enjoyed life; she loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was kind, loving and a joy to all who loved her. Nani always had a smile and was full of fun and laughter. She will be truly missed.
She leaves to treasure her wonderful memories her loving mother, Hilda M. Burrell; devoted husband, Craig B. Joseph Sr.; children, Chavon, Jereme, Craig Jr., Simone and Sean; five grandchildren; sisters, Vega J. Brown and Paulette L. Green; brother, Franklin P. Jackson; special aunts, Hortense Hilt and Gracie Jackson; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A viewing was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, April 15, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald A. Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 11 a.m. Friday at 519 Roycroft Street prior to the service.
