Grafton kept its perfect season intact Wednesday afternoon, downing York 4-2 at home despite recording just five hits.
Kayley Cox continued her strong season in the circle, allowing two earned runs through seven innings against the Falcons.
York scored the game’s first two runs in the top of the first inning. Haley Winfree hit into an RBI fielder’s choice that scored Devon Smith, which was followed by a Katie Russell RBI single.
Cox put up Grafton’s first run in the bottom of the second inning, reaching base on a fielding error by York and scoring Becca Hallingstad. Cox later scored on an RBI fielder’s choice by Lauren Washburn that tied the game at 2-2.
The Clippers scored their go-ahead runs in the bottom of the third inning as Ansley Ashby and Hallingstad both drove in runs.
Grafton (8-0) will visit Jamestown on Friday, while York (5-2) will try to rebound at home against Smithfield that same day.

Tabb returned from spring break with a commanding 10-4 win against Lafayette on the road Wednesday.
The Tigers posted four runs in the top of the second inning before plating three more in the top of the fourth inning.
With a 7-2 lead heading into the fifth inning, the Tigers added a pair of runs to put the game well out of reach for the Rams.
Emily Gavin paced the Tigers at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a home run and a pair of RBIs. Leah Overbay also had a solid outing, going 2-for-2 with an RBI.
Tabb (4-3) will visit Warhill on Friday, while Lafayette (1-7) will look to snap a seven-game losing streak on the road against Bruton on Friday.

Keely Rochard and Kieran McClure each drove in three runs as Warhill cruised past New Kent 11-2 on the road Wednesday.
Rochard also earned the win in the circle for the Lions, striking out 17 batters and allowing two earned runs over seven innings.
With Warhill leading 4-0 after three innings, the Lions pulled away with four runs in the top of the fourth inning.
Rochard hit into an RBI fielder’s choice that brought home Maddy Bradshaw to open the inning. During the next at bat, McClure executed a sacrifice that scored Jewel Walters.
The Lions plated a pair of runs later in the inning off a New Kent fielding error that pushed their lead to 8-0. Warhill added three more runs in the top of the seventh inning to close out the game.
Warhill (6-1) will continue its season at home against Tabb on Friday.
