The Falcons scored their first goal in the 20th minute, as Aaron Reyes received a pass from Cameron Dail. Reyes finished his shot past the New Kent keeper to put York up 1-0 early.

Leading 1-0 heading into the second half, York received back-to-back goals from Bailey McClure to ice the game.

In the 56th minute, Max Poelker delivered the ball to McClure, who was able to beat the goalie. Two minutes later, McClure capitalized on a penalty kick that gave York its final goal of the contest.

Grafton Unable to Rally Against Poquoson

Grafton was unable to rally from a three-goal deficit during a 3-2 road loss against Poquoson on Tuesday.

The Clippers fell behind early, allowing three consecutive goals to the Islanders.

Needing a major comeback, Robin Ahlers found the back of the net in the second half to pull Grafton within two goals.

Later in the half, Patrick Garber connected with Adam King, who also finished his shot past Poquoson’s goalkeeper and cut the deficit to one goal.

Unfortunately for the Clippers, they were unable to find the equalizing goal before the game came to a close.
