Hans Earnest Lorenz, 75, of Williamsburg, passed away doing what he loved best, helping others, on Thursday, April 7, 2016.

Hans served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was an antiques photographer with Colonial Williamsburg for more than 30 years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, where he taught preschool and loved so very much spending time with the children at church.

Hans was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Twombly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Pam Lorenz; daughter, April Lorenz; brother, Charlie Twombly (Gwen Bartholomew); special helping-hand friends, Angela Carter and Brittany Turner; many great, loving neighbors and too many friends to list; and beloved dog, Amber.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday April 13, at Grace Baptist Church, 1013 Penniman Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185, with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
