Busch Gardens announced the name for its first wooden roller coaster through its Twitter account Monday afternoon.
Fans chose to dub the park’s eighth roller coaster InvadR, which received more votes than Viking Raider and Battle Klash.
Choosing the name was the first of many opportunities for guests to play a part in shaping the ride that will open during the 2017 season, making Busch Gardens’ first wooden coaster also “the world’s first crowdsourced ride.”
In the coming months, fans will also be able to voice their opinions on attraction details, theme elements and the marketing campaign.
The engineers have already determined the major components of the ride: It boasts 2,118 feet of track, a 74-foot drop, nine airtime hills and a tunnel.
The theme of the wooden coaster, which will be built in the New France section of the park, is based on the Vikings’ exploration of North America, and park guests are asked to join the battle between the Vikings and the villagers who are protecting their land.
