Ronald Warren ‘Ron’ Cranford, 77, of Williamsburg, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Catherine Cranford.

Ron was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church. He graduated from John Harris High School, Class of 1956, Harrisburg, Pa. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, Pa., in 1963, where he also received his Masters of Education Degree in 1968.

He taught at William Allen High School in Allentown, Pa., and Shikellamy High School in Sunbury, Pa. Ron was the director of data processing at Pottstown School District, Pottstown, Pa., from 1969 to 1982. He was also president of Tenex Systems Inc., an educational software company in King of Prussia, Pa., from 1984 to retirement in 2000.

Ron was the president of the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials from 1978 to 1979. In retirement, he served as the president of the Waterford Homeowners Association for several years and was a Colonial Williamsburg volunteer, treasurer of First Night Williamsburg and a starter at Kingsmill Golf Course.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Cranford; daughter, Pamela Homan, and her husband, Evan, of Boyds, Md.; two grandchildren, Karina and Jonathan of Boyds, Md.; and one sister, Carol Cranford, of Hummelstown, Pa.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Williamsburg United Methodist Church. A private graveside service will be held in Hamburg, Pa., at a later date.
