Colonial Williamsburg is offering a special “Salute to Virginia” deal now through May 31 that allows residents of the commonwealth to pay for one day’s admission and get admission the rest of the year free.
Virginia resident can now purchase a multi-day pass for the price of a single-day ticket, representing a savings of 20 percent.
The Salute to Virginia Pass includes unlimited admission to the Revolutionary City, its exhibition sites and the historic trades shops as well as access to Colonial Williamsburg’s museums and complimentary shuttle bus service. Pass holders also qualify for a 10 percent discount on most tours and evening programs.
The offer allows Virginia residents to experience the varied seasonal programming, special events and holiday celebrations that Colonial Williamsburg offers throughout the year.
This year includes many firsts for Colonial Williamsburg, such as the opening of the new educational musket range and the revamped trades shops.
Popular features from last year’s events lineup, such as the “DIG! Kids, Dirt and Discovery” archaeological excavation program, the re-enactments and activities at the newly reconstructed Market House and the expanded Halloween offerings throughout the month of October are also slated to return.
“The Salute to Virginia promotion has always been well-received by Virginia residents,” said Skip Ferebee, Colonial Williamsburg executive director of business development. “We’re thrilled to welcome them back for an even more engaging and entertaining experience than in years past.”
Salute to Virginia passes are valid through the end of the calendar year. Single-day ticket price is based on retail price of $40.99 for adults and $20.49 for youths. Proof of residency is required.
